Course Description
The Golf Club des Iles Borromées is an 18-hole, par 72 course located approximately 500 meters above sea level near Stresa, Italy. Designed by architect Marco Croze, the course spans 6,122 meters and is set in a natural, unspoiled environment. Golfers can enjoy exceptional panoramic views, including the Ticino plain, the Alps, and four pre-alpine lakes: Maggiore, Varese, Monate, and Comabbio. The course is known for its diverse flora, featuring silver birches, pines, firs, larches, oaks, and chestnut trees, with rhododendrons and azaleas blooming in spring. Its hilly terrain offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience for players. The club provides amenities such as a driving range, putting green, pro shop, and a recently renovated restaurant. It is open year-round, except in January, and is easily accessible from Milan and the Swiss border.
The "Des Iles" course is located on the Alto-Vergante, a plateau above Stresa and Lesa, about 600 meters from which, from the green of the 9th hole, you can enjoy an exceptional panorama before returning to the clubhouse, with views of the Simplon mountain and the Val Grande. On the clearest days, from the starting tee of the 18th hole, you can see with the naked eye the skyscrapers of Milan, the four lakes, Maggiore, Varese, Monate, Comabbio and the entire Cantonal Alps. · Cancellation 8-14 days before the golf tee time: 50% cancellation fee
· Cancellation 0-7 days before the golf tee time: No refund available.
· Acutal reservation is confirmed by a notice to all customers without a separate confirmation call
· In case of cancellation due to golf course circumstances, we will notify the customer and the process for the full refund.
· Please note that specific cancellation and refund policies mentioned within the description above take precedence.
· Business Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00 (UTC+9) / Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays.
Golf Course Reservation/Usage Guideline
Please Review Before Your Round!
* Attach your name tag (English) on the golf bag prior to your round.
* Choice of your course is subject to change depending on the condition of the field.
* Depending on the golf course's operational policies and local conditions, your tee-off time may be delayed compared to your reserved time.
* Please arrive at the clubhouse at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of your golf round.
* Refunds and rescheduling are not possible if the round cannot proceed due to personal reasons.
* Golf course operating policies and on-site conditions may lead to changes in reserved tee times without prior notice, especially during the peak winter season at golf courses in Southeast Asia, where tee-off times may experience some delays. Refunds and cancellations due to this are not possible.
Rain and Natural Disasters Policy
* (ex, Southeast Asia) Golf courses usually hold rounds even in rainy season. Since it is a squall, in most cases, it continues to play after temporarily avoiding the rain. Therefore, advance cancellations and green fee refunds due to rain are not available as in Korea. Please be sure to follow the operation policy (ex, rain coupon, etc.) for each golf course after visiting the site.
